Аннотация: Fundamentals of quantum theory of scattering are stated in this educational tool. Special attention is paid for calculations of scattering amplitude in the born approximation and the method of partial waves, and also high energy approximation. The relativistic and nonrelativistic kinematics of scattering are considered. Specific examples of calculation of cross sections and exothermal threshold of nuclear processes are considered. The educational tool is intended for undergraduates, master and PhD students, studying at physical specialties and knowing the course of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics.

Аннотация: This book is a collection of articles describing environmental radioactivity problems in Central Asia, the focus being in Kazakhstan. Most important areas of environmental radioactivity and radioecological research are discussed in this book, including radiological characterization of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site and uranium mining sites, concentrations and distribution of natural and artificial radionuclides in soil and water, radon concentrations in dwellings and outdoor air, radiation exposures to humans and methodologies used in radioecological research, environmental monitoring and impact assessments. The aim of the book is to give relevant information to researchers, students and others working in the field of radioecology and environmental monitoring as well as authorities responsible for monitoring and measures to prevent people from excessive exposure to radiation.

The Special Part includes sections devoted to legal regulation in certain energy spheres: gas, oil and coal industries, electric power industry, heat supply and nuclear energy use. The Textbook is based on modern laws in view of law-enforcement practice. The second edition of the Textbook was revised and updated with a view to changes in the legal regulation of private law and public law relations including the sphere of self-regulation.
